Pinoy Christmas Ham

Ham is one of the famous food specially serve during holiday season. It's been special because of it's meaty, tender and delicious flavor. I love it because it's ready to serve, the salty with sweet caramel flavor perfect with rice or bread. Because of the high market price of meat use to make ham plus the long and meticulous process to provide only the best makes it's price also special. Have you wonder how the ham was process and how long does it takes? Watch this excellent video from "How Its Made".

From choosing the perfect part of pork meat which is the hind leg, sort and removing excess fats. Weighing to meet the exact amount. The exciting part of this was the marination using injection machine to be sure that mixture will be absorb. Carefully packed and sealed on a net, arranged accordingly through a cooking rack and transferred to the industrial oven. Chilled and packed again into different desired cuts. After watching the video I'm sure we feel the same way. The process was amazing! Now I know how ham was made step by step.

#Filipino Christmas Ham

Ham was not just for food to serve, it was also a good source of income. Some Filipino entrepreneur becomes successful in taking this kind of industry. Some are big companies and some are home-made. The next video from Unang Hirit, a weekday-news program every morning on GMA also feature some manufacturer of meat products like ham in Nagcarlan, Laguna. The video shows how they process their product manually.

The good thing about us Filipino when it comes to business weather it was small or big, we are not contented with just one option. This video of home-made ham by an entrepreneur from Cainta, Rizal proves that their Ham was not only deliscious but has more flavor to choose. They have strawberry and pineapple flavor ham. It shows how to cook their home-made ham and tells about their starting capital for those who are interested to take this kind of business.

Ham was also called the star of Noche Buena, of course if you have it serve on your table on that very special occasion, you would be star too on your family and friends.

You can buy ham even you are on a tight budget. Just be patient in searching for the good price that meets your budget. You can ask for the promodiser assign for the cheapest one or for discounts. Yesterday as my partner and I stop over at Puregold Tungkong Mangga, we shop some groceries and there's the ham stand in the corner right of the counter. The space was congested and you can see it right away. The pear-shaped ham doesn't escape on our eyes as we peek for the cheapest price. The promo girl offer us their limited stock of the buy-one-take-one pear-shaped ham. It cost P223.00 only, affordable for it's price. This ham is perfect for presents and gifts for Christmas Parties. It looks presentable inside a rectangular plastic ware. We are excited to cook it at home to know how it taste. The taste was good for it's price. We cooked the other ham so I only captured only one.  Compared to the CDO holiday ham I bought last Tuesday, I can say that this Saver's pear-shaped ham was competitive. Just cooked with your own versions of  ham like with pineapple chunk to make it to the next level. But, when It comes to the texture and flavorful I go for CDO although the price is more expensive.  The CDO holiday ham cost P490 comes with a Royal 1.5L FREE so It's not bad. You can have your special meal with orange drink for the family. In the spirit of Christmas, It's not important how much you spent. Its how much love you share.
